Yup!
All three prototypes were lost in fatal accidents. De Havilland was
killed in TG306 after a structural failure in 1946.
In February 1950, VW120 crashed after the pilot, was incapacitated
after an oxygen system failure.
The third and last DH108, TG283 crashed in May 1950, the pilot was
killed after his parachute failed after ejecting.
